Following the acts of violence on voting day of August 9 in several electoral constituencies, on the report of commissions, the Provisional Electoral Council after deliberation, informs the general public, political parties, political groups and candidates in particular, that 2 new candidates are delisted bringing the number to 16 candidates (15 for deputies and 1 in the Senate) in accordance with Article 119 of the Electoral Decree. These candidates are delisted became subject to the of Articles 196, 199, 203, 213, 214 and 218 of the Electoral Decree of 2 March 2015.

The Provisional Electoral Council in addition to the 14 candidates delisted Monday https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-14870-haiti-flash-the-cep-eliminates-14-candidates-including-arnel-belizaire.html has added 2 names to the list :

MOMPLASIR Jackson, candidate for deputy / Cornillon/ (Ouest) LAPEH

Disturbance of the conduct of the election, assault, followed by sequestration.

PIERRE Lubern, candidate for deputy / Petit Trou de Nippes (Nippes), PHTK

Aggression on the President of BEC and Judge of Peace of the jurisdiction, on election day of August 9, 2015.

According to the provisions of the Electoral Decree in force, the records of these candidates will be forwarded to the public prosecutors of the courts concerned for legal suites.

For the case of Arnel Bélizaire he is now accused of "Shooting with automatic weapons near the Cité Soleil voting center, Ecole Don Bosco, Drouillard project and disruption of elections" instead of "Shooting with automatic weapons near the Drouillard voting center, widespread panic, disrupt polling."
