Haiti - FLASH : Complete results of the elections of August 9, 2015
We offer you the (preliminary) complete results for the first round of legislative elections of August 9 (senators and deputies), no senator was elected in the first round for deputies those who obtained more than 50% are Gracia Delva, PHTK, Dessalines (West) was elected with 61.06%, Cholzer Chancy, AAA, Ennery (Artibonite) with 66.97%, A Rondon Bien Aimé, PHTK, Cerca-Carvajal/Quartier de los Palis (Centre) with 76.67%, Rony Celestin, PHTK, Cerca la Source (Centre) with 64.84%, Anouce Jhon Bernard, PHTK, Beaumon (Grand Anse) 51.52%.
Those who have obtained more than 25% (note 1) compared to the candidate in second place are : Ronald Etienne, Consortium ,Pestel (Grand'Anse) with 42.62% (+25.21%), Gabriel Lyonel Jean, VERITE, Lascahobas (Centre) with 45.09% (+32.83%), Fritz Chery, AAA, Gros Morne (Artibonite), with 45.59% (+33.19%).
Note 1: Article 45.1 52.1 - On the occasion of elections, the candidate [...] receiving the greatest number of votes, [without obtaining] the absolute majority is declared the winner if its lead over its immediate pursuer is equal to or greater twenty-five percent (25%).
As the candidates : Brunel Jeune, MOCHRENHA, Plaisance (North) with 59.23%, Tholeme S., Joseph, Pitit Dessalines, Port Margot (North) with 76.02%, would have won the elections if in their constituencies elections were not canceled.
At a press conference yesterday afternoon, the CEP announced some corrective measures, one about the mandates which will be put at the disposal of political parties 15 days before October 25; electoral lists will be displayed 30 days before the election as required by the decree. The CEP also announced that the electoral campaign for the elections of October 25 will be much longer than the one month initially expected.
The national participation rate is 18% according to the CEP, is 10% in the West department, while in the 3 constituencies of Port-au-Prince only 6% of the electorate voted, turnout did not exceed 50% in any communes.
The challenge period started on Thursday afternoon after the publication of results for a period of 72 hours. This may result in changes to these preliminary results of the 1st round of 9 August.

Also other candidates could be removed from the electoral race, the CEP gather evidence against them before acting, political parties involved in acts of violence could also be punished, according to the CEP.
Elections canceled in 22 constituencies
The 1st constituency of Port-au-Prince, Cité Soleil, Gressier, Cornillon, Arcahaie and Cabaret in West ; Saint-Marc, Verettes, Petite Rivière de l’Artibonite, Grande Saline and Desdunes in the Artibonite ; Mole Saint-Nicolas in the north-west, Boucan Carré and Savanette in the department of Centre ; Marigot in the Southeast ; Acul du Nord, Dondon, Port Margot, Plaisance, Grande Rivière du Nord and Saint-Raphaël in the North and Port-à-piment in the South, are the 22 constituencies where elections will be resume on 25 October.
