A dozen political entities require the resignation of Opont

In a letter sent to Pierre-Louis Opont, the President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), nearly a dozen political entities (Fusion, Renmen Ayiti, Ayisyen pou Ayiti, Reparen n, MRA, Alah, Force 50, PSUH, PPFF) and the Senator François Anick Joseph, reject the results published on the CEP website; asking the organization of general elections as soon as possible and demand the resignation of Pierre-Louis Opont.

"[...] The democrats of this country will not easily accept your presence at the head of the CEP to complete the electoral coupstarted on 9 August. The signatories have no intention of abandoning the struggle for democracy and even less in the electoral field to PHTK, to Bouclier [...] we are not condemned to persist in error or accept once again that in your arrogance you seek to impose this masquerade to the Haitian people by saying you satisfied with the ballot stuffing, assassinations, violence, ransacking of pooling offices and voting centers, of armed interventions of numerous candidates of parties close to power [...] the hasty blessing of a complacent international community, condescending and at the limit contemptuous, will not be able to make the unacceptable acceptable for the Haitians [...] ssentially write the signatories of this letter, which does not however require the departure of other advisers.

Youri Latortue contest

Youri Latortue, Senate candidate under the banner AAA, which won 26.90% according to the results in the Artibonite, wants the vote be resumed only in the constituencies affected by the violence. He also made a challenge to prove his victory in the first round, arguing that the method of calculating the percentage of votes will not allow any candidate to get a majority of 50%, explaining that the number of electors is different from the number of votes, as each voter had the opportunity to vote for two candidates to the Senate.

Candidates calling for the cancellation of the election of the 3rd constituency of PAP

The collective of candidates challengers of the 3rd constituency of Port-au-Prince (COLLECC 3), which includes twenty pretender for parliament, calls for the mere cancellation of the poll of 9 August in thatconstituency ; of irregularities and ballot stuffing in favor of candidates close to power were observed. For the 3rd constituency of Port-au-Prince 57 minutes were left out of 441 (which is not the percentage decided by the CEP to resume the vote).
