![]() Haiti - Humanitarian : Launch of the mission of the Hospital Ship USNS Comfort 10/09/2015 10:33:56
The mission Continuing Promise of the hospital ship is part of the continuous support of the US government to the Haitian people, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and Population. The hospital ship will arrive in Haiti on Thursday, September 10 and leave the bay of Port-au-Prince Sunday, September 18, 2015. Free medical care will be provided in Port-au-Prince at Killick Coast Guard Base and St. Luc Hospital (Tabarre 41) starting on September 11 at 8:00am and continuing until September 18. Each day, patients will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis until capacity is reached. Medical care will include general, pediatric, dental, ophthalmological, orthopedic, and others. Support teams from the Comfort will also be assisting Haitian partners with veterinarian services, engineering projects, and medical exchanges.
