As part of World Day against rabies, on September 28, nearly 1,500 veterinary officers will be deployed in Haiti to carry out vaccination against rabies on over 500,000 dogs, declared Monday Michel Chancy, Secretary State to animal production, which did not set the start date of this vaccination campaign, stressing that small solar refrigerators are installed in several communes for the conservation of vaccines.

Ahead of World Day against rabies, Michel Chancy launched the awareness fortnight which aims to encourage people to take responsibility by vaccinating their dogs.

Recall that rabies is endemic in the world, but Haiti is one of the few countries where there has been a high number of deaths by human rabies.
