In a letter dated Tuesday, September 15, to the Prime Minister Paul Evans Rothchild François Jr., Communication Minister and also spokesman of the government submitted his resignation.

Prime Minister Paul confirmed having been informed by its secretariat to the resignation of Minister François Jr. without providing for the moment explanation on the real reasons for the resignation.

Mr. Prime Minister,

I agreed to fulfill the role of Minister of Communication and Spokesman of the Government, at a critical turning point in the social, economic and political life of my country. The arrival of our team was seen by the nation as a positive contribution to help create in the country a climate of appeasement in view of the holding of elections.

I filled this high office with dedication, seriousness, and sense of State responsibilities without flaws. However, today I see myself forced to resign, following the deterioration of my work environment for three weeks. This situation no longer allows me to pursue my delicate mission with professionalism and rectitude which I have always shown throughout my career.

I thank the President of the Republic, and you, Mr. Prime Minister, for giving me the opportunity to serve my country. I also want to thank my Cabinet Ministerial colleagues for their confidence and support during my mission.

I wish that you succeed in the accomplishing of your task how difficult, so that Haiti out winner of process in which it undertook to renew the political staff.

Please accept, Mr. Prime Minister, the assurances of my highest consideration.
