This Thursday, September 17 at the Hotel Karibe, the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH) organized the first Forum of Directors of Human Resources (FDRH) of the Public Service.

This important event, which receives financial support from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Program "Konekte" gathered more than 70 heads of department, human resource directors from ministries and agencies of the public function.

Structured around several topics: 1) Roles of HR manager in the Public Service; 2) Summary of findings, constraints and critical conditions of success of the restructuring of HRM, among others, the Forum will help to network all HR managers in order to promote dialogue, exchange, experience sharing and the action that should lead to the improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency in the management of human resources in the public service.

During this first Forum, HR managers will have to implement a working committee to establish the permanence and modalities of operation of this consultation instance, determine the accompaniment of OMRH and decide on themes to be addressed at the next convocation.

To note, that human resources are a key factor in the performance of national public services, an essential element in economic development. Therefore, HR are both contributory to the project of reform of the public administration and directly affected by the transformation process of this reform.
