Beginning of the electoral campaign for the municipal..

The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), in accordance with Article 114 of the Electoral Decree, informs the general public, political parties, political groups and candidates in particular, that the electoral campaign for the municipal of 25 October will officially begin on September 23 until 23 October 2015. The Council invites candidates to comply scrupulously with the provisions of Article 115.1 of the said Decree, in meetings of public nature.

New meeting between the CEP and the political parties

Friday, FUSION, Fanmi Lavalas, the Platforms Jistis, Vérité ans Pitit Dessalines among others, were not present at the meeting between the CEP and representatives of political parties, where fifty party representatives had responded present to discuss about : the behave to have during the electoral campaign and the provisions of the Electoral Decree, the advancement of electoral challenges, the publication of the final election results of August 9, measures taken by the CEP in order to improving the vote of October 25, 2015, changes to the electoral timetable and management of representatives. However, according to the electoral Adviser Néhémie Joseph no consensus was reached and no decision has been taken at this meeting.

List of electoral observation organizations accredited

The CEP, informs that in accordance with Articles 156.1 and 224.21 of the Electoral Decree of 2 March 2015, it was established a list of national electoral observation organizations, authorized to monitor the elections of October 25, 2015.
