This bakery is part of the context of the implementation of a social enterprise whose aim is to create wealth in order to redistribute it among members of the community as a social cooperative. BOULPA S.A. intend by this approach lead actors of the grassroots community to want to get involved in solving social problems, not on the principle of financial gain in the interests of an individual or a small group, but that of social value for the benefit of the community. BOULPA S.A. having understood the need to create wealth at the most vulnerable layer, makes the obligation to itself to promote, immediately, the learning of the solidarity economy within street vendors of bread in the second communal section of Morne hôpital and the third section of Martissant. Designed as a community development approach, BOULPA S.A. has for ambition to respond in a immediate manner, to the basic needs of the population in addition to developing long-term new mechanisms contributing to the creation of other social enterprises. It is to allow players in the area of creating new business models inserted in the social dynamics to create more jobs and reduce unemployment. Besides providing high quality bakery products at affordable prices to the whole region of Carrefour-Feuilles, of Bas Peu de Chose and the third communal section, BOULPA S.A. intends among other : support and strengthen women's leadership in the immediate area; act as a training center to teach cooking skills to women and teen and to provide a space for reflection to further educate "ti machann" in the field of business and promote the importance of the solidarity economy.
