Haiti - NOTICE : Renewal of the residence permit for foreigners
In a press release dated September 28, 2015, the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities, reminds foreigners that "in accordance with Legislative Decree of 26 December 1978 on Immigration and Emigration and specifically in Articles 31, 32, 33 and 34; the residence permit is compulsory in Haiti and is valid for one fiscal year, from 1 October to 30 September [...]
The Ministry invites all foreigners living in the country to renew their residence permit for the 2015-2016 fiscal year, with effect from 1 October 2015. Also, they are expected at the Directorate of Immigration and the Emigration (DIE) at 171 Avenue John Brown (Lalue) and regional offices of provincial cities on all working days to withdraw their residence permit [...]"
