Wednesday, in the 2015-2016 ranking of the World Economic Forum, Haiti occupies the 134th place on 140 economies compared in the Global Competitiveness Index (Dominican Republic - DR 98), in terms of basic requirement, Haiti obtains an overall score of 132 (DR 100) : institutions 132 (DR 118), infrastructure 137 (DR 100), macroeconomic environment 102 (RD 57) and health and primary education 125 (DR 104).

In terms of efficiency enhancers Haiti obtains an overall score of 135 (DR 92) : higher education and training 107 (DR 96), goods market efficiency 137 (DR 97), labor market efficiency 76 (DR 108) (best score for Haiti), financial market development 136 (DR 108), technological readiness 136 (DR 84) and market size 125 (DR 70).

In terms of innovation and sophistication factors Haiti obtains an overall score of 139 (DR 97) ; business sophistication 138 (DR 76) and innovation 138 (DR 112).

Should be noted that these performances closer Haiti of a place of the worst economies (6 places before), while in 2014-2015, Haiti was 7 places before the last economy (137 of 144) and 5 places before in 2013-2014 (143 of 148).

In addition at Level of the economies of Latin America region, Haiti ranks last.
