Monday, Dr. Florence Duperval Guillaume, Minister of Public Health and Population accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Sophia Martelly, in the presence of the authorities of the commune, both national and international partners, representatives of NOAH New York (www.noahny.org/about-us/) proceeded to the inauguration of a brand new health center in the commune of Caracol.

In her speech Sophia Martelly declared "This newly built health center will provide concrete answers to the problems of access to primary health care in the commune of Caracol and surrounding areas."

The Minister Duperval warmly thanked the NOAH New York and all actors involved in the construction of the health center, which will offer maternity services, laboratory, pharmacy and vaccination to the benefit of 7,949 inhabitants of the area.
