Opont requires a security in fighting position front the Voting Centers

This Wednesday, a meeting is scheduled between the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) and the "Supreme Council of the National Police" (CSPN) regarding the safety of upcoming elections.

Pierre-Louis Opont, said the CEP intends to require national and international authorities, that is deployed in front of voting centers, 48 hours before the elections "a heavily armed force in fighting position" for Opont is the only way to reassure the population and deter troublemakers... However, we must remember that the CEP has not authority over security issues on voting day, and in no case it can make demands to that effect.
