Haiti - Justice : The Secretary of State visited Petit-Goâve
Friday, Me Ronald Cibert, Secretary of State for Justice went to Petit-Goâve to sensitize local authorities, judiciary and police, on the need to ensure the smooth conduct of elections as well as voter safety on 25 October. He recommended to police officers and others responsible to adopt a behavior of neutrality and impartiality.

"The purpose of my visit was to meet the Government Commissioner and substitutes Commissioner, in order to sensitize them on the role that the prosecution and the Peace courts will have to play in the context of the organization of elections on 25 October.

Furthermore we have took the opportunity to visit the prison of the Police Station of the city that we have found in a very sorry state. Prison conditions are unbearable and unacceptable"
