Monday, after the delivery end of September of 36 vehicles offered by the US Embassy https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15310-haiti-security-usa-donated-36-vehicles-to-the-pnh.html , Prime Minister Evans Paul, officially handed over the keys to 40 other 4X4 vehicles Daihatsu Terios brand (Japanese Toyota Group) to Godson Orelus, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti, bringing to 230 the number of new vehicles received by the PNH since the beginning of the year.

Prime Minister Paul pointed out that with these vehicles, the Government complied with its promises by making available to the law enforcement resources to enable them to more easily ensure safety, particularly during the election period by a better deployment of police.

After the elections, these vehicles will be used among others to strengthen road safety by increasing the police presence on major roads and major cities of Haiti.
