In a statement from the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Mexico "congratulates the people and Government of Haiti for the proper conduct of the elections" of Sunday, October 25.

"[...] The great citizen participation and the peaceful conduct of elections and the support provided by the various election observation missions involved in the process, contributed to a very positive result for democracy and strengthening of institutions in Haiti.

Mexico recognizes the work and reiterates its commitment to continue to work as a strategic partner of the Government of Haiti for the democratic development, social and politics of this Nation."
