Haiti - Diaspora : 4th International Conference of the NAHP

Thursday, a second planning meeting was held at the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) to effectively coordinate the 4th International Conference of the National Association Haïtian Professionnal (NAHP), to be held to the Florida International University Miami (Florida, USA) from 12 to 14 November 2015.

Representatives of several partner institutions, including the National Identification Office, the National Archives of Haiti, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti, the Primature, the Ministry of Communication, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present at this meeting.

Let's note that this 4th edition of the NAHP, questions relating to : direct investment from the diaspora and foreigners in Haiti; the success of Haitian entrepreneurs; a stronger education system; the current state of affairs in the country, will be the focus of discussions and will be subject of panel discussions and workshops.

Note that the Haitian personalities including the Governor of the Central Bank, Charles Castel, the Ambassador of Haiti to the United States, Paul Altidor; Dr. Eduardo A. Gamarra, professor in FIU; economist Kesner Pharel, Chairman of the Groupe Croissance, Alain Lafalaise, Executive Director of the Rhum Barbancourt society are expected to this event.

Furthermore, depending on the availability of their agendas, personalities from political circles including Prime Minister Evans Paul, ormer heads of government: Laurent Lamothe, Garry Conille and Jean Max Bellerive, the current Minister of Trade Wilson Laleau; Ambassador Danielle Saint-Lot, a member of the NAHP; Jean Monestime, President of the Commission "Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners", should join the Minister Robert Labrousse (MHAVE) for the full success of this international conference.

Note that for its 4th edition, the NAHP confirmed on its website that the three former Prime Ministers of Haiti, Laurent Lamothe, Garry Conille and Jean-Max Bellerive will be present and will participate in a panel discussion on changes, development and Haiti's future.
