Haiti - Tourism : D-5, visit of preparations for the 6th Fair binational ecotourism
Sunday, Maryse Noel, the Director General of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) went to the Dominican border town of Comendador, to see the progress of installation of the 6th Fair binational ecotourism and Production, which runs from 7 to 15 November 2015. An event that contributes to the strengthening of friendly relations and cooperation between the Haitian and Dominican peoples.

Mrs Noel, accompanied by Dr. Jose Serulle Rami, General Coordinator of the Fair and other senior leaders of the "Fundación Ciencia y Arte" responsible for the organization and mounting of the event, traveled the fairgrounds and indicated that the construction of the pavilions and booths for participants from both countries were well advanced.

Maryse Noel recalled that in addition to Haiti's participation in large scientific program of the activity, artists among the most important and influential of Haitian culture in the field of plastic arts, painting, crafts, music, dance but also culinary art, will participate in the Fair. A large delegation of Haiti will also be present at the ceremony and grand opening parade.

After her visit, Mrs. Noel, with Ambassador Serulle Ramia and Jacqueline Boin, President of the "Fundación Ciencia y Arte" has participated in a meeting in the town of Belladère with Carter Fourrien, the mayor of Belladère and Dinois Rateau, the mayor of Lascahobas, leaders of cultural and artistic organizations, who will participate in the binational fair. Also present at the meeting Gustavo Lara, Director of the Dominican Red Cross, Jean Camille Bissereth, Coordinator of the Foundation for the development of alternative tourism in Haiti (FONDTAH), Father Yves Edmond, President of Sant Pon Ayiti, Vernet Antoine , Coordinator of the Local Development Committee of Savanette and municipal officials of Comendador, host municipality of the fair.
