Haiti - Security : Warning to political actors
Following the publication of the preliminary results of the elections of October 25, 2015, some protest movements taking place in the country notes Pierre-Richard Casimir, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, which emphasizes that as long as these protests do within the limits of the Law these demonstrations will have all the necessary supervision of the National Police of Haiti (PNH).

"However, the police will not tolerate any violent demonstration, not only disturbing public order and breaks social peace, but also prevents citizens to go about their business freely and violates the security of lives and property," stating that the PNH received instructions to apprehend any person who contravenes the Law by using violence or threatening to use it. He urges political actors "to produce their Challenges in accordance with the Act."

The Minister Casimir reminds the Government Commissioners near the Courts of First Instance, they "must treat cases referred to them expeditiously, taking advantage of the provisions of the May 6, 1927 Act on immediate appearance in correctional." If it is a criminal Affairs, the Minister invites the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) to order the investigating judges and judges who treat them to respect the legal deadlines.

He deplores, moreover, the regrettable incidents that occurred after the announcement of the results of 25 October that claimed the life of a citizen and a police officer and informs that investigation is opened to identify the culprits of these unfortunate incidents and bring them to justice.
