Moïse Jean Charles explains why he did not challenge the results

Moïse Jean Charles presidential candidate under the banner "Piti Dessalin" and G8 member https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15700-haiti-elections-for-the-g8-as-published-results-are-unacceptable.html said he did not want to have recourse to the challenge procedure to denounce the election results of October 25 because according to him, "the contentious instances of the electoral body are controlled by the Head of State," "explaining that any legal challenge would have been doomed to failure. He continued to claim withe the 7 other candidates for the presidency of the G8, the formation of an independent commission of inquiry. He also accused the CEP to have inserted false minutes to the tabulation center to change the result in favor of Jovenel Moïse (PHTK).

Demonstration of the Opposition, without major incident

Wednesday, supporters of LAPEH, Pitit Dessalines and Fanmi Lalavas began a demonstrations in Bel-Air, which has grown at Delmas 2, with the inclusion of other groups. Thousands of protesters threw hostile about those in power, to the members of the CEP, denouncing an electoral coup and demanding respect of the vote of the people, expressed on 25 October. The demonstration ended without major incident, on the Constitution Square in the Champ-de-Mars.

Two days of Lavalas demonstrations scheduled

Wednesday, the political organization Fanmi Lavalas announced two demonstration days, this Thursday 12 and Friday, November 13, 2015, to denounce the fraud and irregularities during the elections of October 25 and call for respect of the popular vote. Manifestation will start at the ruins of the ancient Church of St. John Bosco and ended in front of the Faculty of Ethnology at the Champ-de-Mars, in solidarity with the student victims of police repression.

Online registration of representatives and national observers

n a note, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) states that in order "to respond to concerns expressed by national and international observation groups, of candidates and political parties, to improve the management of accreditation cards to the representatives that it will proceed to pre-register online of observers and representatives of political parties for the elections of 27 December, and that, from 16 November to 26 November 2015 included.
