Haiti - Weather : The Ministry of Interior calls for vigilance

While the hurricane season began on June 1, has officially ended Monday, November 30, 2015, Ardouin Zéphirin, the Minister of Interior and Territorial Communities, asks the population, especially those living in areas at risk, to continue remain vigilant with respect to meteorological phenomena and to respect the safety instructions of the National Centre of Meteorology and Permanent Secretariat of Risk Management (SPGRD).

Recalling that the period of cold fronts, which began in November, usually cause heavy rains, causing floods and landslides, especially in the northern region of the country. He invited the brigadier-volunteers of the Civil Protection, members of the Departmental Committees, Municipal and Local, to continue to inform and to sensitize the population in order to help them better prepare for the risks hydrometeorological of this period.
