Haiti - Social : Towards a responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages in Haiti

Wednesday in Petion-ville, the Brasserie Nationale d’Haïti S.A. (BRANA), the Société du Rhum Barbancourt, and the Berling S.A. have officially launched the Association of Alcoholic Beverages Producers from Haiti (AProBAH), they formed together.

This Association aims to establish strategic partnerships, promoting national policies that advance the interests of local producers, establish standards and quality standards at international level, ensuring safe products, reliable and of good quality. The formation of this association was also motivated by the need to promote responsible drinking culture.

The AProBAH intends to achieve its objectives by strengthening local partnerships, sharing information on common concerns and the establishment of collaborations with multiple local partners already working in the field. As Haitian businesses, its founding members, concerned about the health of their consumers, aimed at encouraging a healthy local consumption and through its efforts, will try to make responsible consumption, a social norm.

This official launch of the AProBAH, will be followed by the first awareness campaign taking place on social networks, which aims to encourage people to enjoy its products with moderation, especially during the end of year festivities perdiode.

To this end, the new Association will encourage young and old to enjoy the holiday season, to be photographed by consuming beverages responsibly and share these moments on social networks with the hashtag #EnjoyResponsiblyHaiti and #TètKlè.
