Open Society Foundations (OSF) which is a member of the Foundation Knowledge and Freedom (FOKAL) starts for the third consecutive year the international mobility program Civil Society Scholar Awards. This program targets the strengthening of capacities of doctoral students and professors of universities and their integration into international academic networks.

Call for candidacy deadline : February 15, 2016

No applications will be accepted beyond this deadline.

1) Target audience :

Doctoral students enrolled in Haitian university or enrolled in a foreign university;

Teachers of universities holders at least of a master and performing a teaching activity in Haitian university.

2) Disciplinary fields :

The candidate project will concerns the social sciences and the humanities.

Particular attention will be paid to the following topics:

The law, justice and governance;

Sustainable development and management of natural resources;

Economic rights and the fight against poverty;

Public health, social work and community development;

Law and regulation of new media;

Inclusive education;

Post-conflict studies;

Human rights.

3) Project duration :

Between 2 and 10 months. Mobility does not exceed a 10-month period.

4) Scholarship amount :

$ 10,000 for doctoral students;

$ 15,000 for university professors

6) Support :

Stays (with accommodation ...) in laboratories and universities in connection with the applicant's research work;

Documentary research;

The collection of data related to the applicant's field of research;

Optimization of the results of research and inter-university cooperation;

Scientific publication in peer reviewed journals.

Only the English version of the regulation of this mobility is authentic.
