Haiti - FLASH : Air Ambulance Service soon included to tour operators packages

Thursday, January 7, 2016, the Ambulance Centre "Ayiti Air Anbilans" (AAA) that provides emergency medical helicopter service in Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11868-haiti-health-ayiti-air-anbilans-a-turning-point-in-haiti.html and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), initialed an adhesion agreement under which the medical servicesof AAA, will be proposed by the Ministry of Tourism for tour operators with packages on Haiti. Under the agreement, the air ambulance service will be included in the packages offered to visitors by tour operators/receptive local and international on the destination.

According to the terms of the membership agreement, visitors traveling in Haiti (not exceeding 21 days in the country will only pay 20 US dollars for the AAA service if group. While a customer who makes a reservation online for a stay in Haiti as individuals, will pay $25 if its stay lasts 14 days.

This inclusion in the tour operators packages selling Haiti as a destination, of ambulance services for visitors with emergency health needs is still a positive note for the country, which is part of the measures taken by the MCIT and the tour operators/receptive, to better accommodate visitors here in Haiti.
