The Florida representative Alcee Hastings

sent a letter to US Secretary of State John Kerry, in which he reminds him among others the allegations of fraud and irregularities to the Haitian elections of October 25, 2016 and "[...] that the people of Haiti has been fighting for decades for the establishment of legitimate democratic institutions [...]" adding "I urge you to do all you can to ensure that the process leading to the election and the election itself, is conducted in a manner that is acceptable to all parties concerned."
