Friday, following a meeting between the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the major unions of Haitian carriers, the MEF and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) in a joint note, announce a downward in fuel prices at the pump starting this Wednesday, January 13, 2016.

Thus the price of Gallon of gasoline will drop by 6 Gourdes while that of diesel and kerosene will drop by 8 Gourdes.

Furthermore, the two ministries plan to reactivate the automatic adjustment mechanism for fuel prices to reflect any new fluctuations on the international oil market.
