he Head of Government recalled that Carnival had become a tradition, part of life of our people. A tradition that the Haitian State must protect and safeguard because it is one of the ingredients participating in the construction of the social life of the country. Then he officially launched the carnival festivities whose the three fat days will take place from Sunday 7th to Tuesday 9th February in Port-au-Prince, around the theme "Ayiti Toutan" "Tèt poze pour yon Ayiti pi fre". https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16362-icihaiti-culture-national-carnival-2016-in-port-au-prince.html "This theme is a call for the consideration of the national interest over and above any other form of self-interest," stressed the Minister Raton who took the opportunity to announce the establishment, in the Ministry of Culture, of a Management Unit of the National Carnival, to improve the conduct of this popular manifestation of Haiti. Note that the Ministers of Culture and Tourism and the Mayor of Port-au-Prince are respectively President, Vice President and member of honor of the Carnival 2016. Members of the Committee of the organization of the National Carnival 2016 : According to an order given to the National Palace 6 January 2016, the Organizing Committee of the Carnival is constituted of the following persons :
