Haiti - Education : 9 Haitian scholars of Fulbright Program (2016-2018)

The Public Affairs Office of the Embassy of the United States of America informs that 9 Haitian academics, all license holders, were selected from over 200 candidates who had applied for the Fulbright program for the academic year 2016-2018.

Their selection was conducted through a rigorous process in which candidates had to demonstrate their ability in the English language through a series of tests including the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), The Test of English Language Proficiency (TELP), and examination Graduate Record Exam (GRE). The final step of the process consisted in an interview.

Recall that Fulbright is the international educational exchange program sponsored by the US government, which aims to strengthen mutual understanding between the American people and other peoples. This program selects academically talented students from around the world and enables them to achieve a master's degree in an American university.

  • Claudlène St Vil (Field of Study: Master in Urban Planning - Architecture)

  • Yvens Rumbold (Field of Study: Communication Master)

  • Francois Ronald Vibert (Field of Study: Master in Engineering energy with renewable energy concentration)

  • Ricardo St Aimé (Field of Study: Masters in Agronomy and plant production with a focus on sustainable agriculture)

  • Samantha Grand-Pierre (Field of Study: Master in International Business)

  • Pascal Valbrune (Field of Study: Public Administration Masters with a concentration in International Development & Management)

  • Fritz Alemagne Yzema (Field of Study: Master in Civil Engineering)

  • Anne Marie Desormeaux (Field of Study: Master in Public Health)
