Haiti - Dominican Republic : Drug seizure at the border
Of members of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and the Directorate of Intelligence (G-2) of the Dominican Army, arrested at checkpoint at kilometer 15 of Azua, a Haitian as he attempted to introduce in the Dominican Republic approximately 145 lbs narcotic contained in 16 packages hidden in a compartment inside the sport utility vehicle registered X107477, he was driving. The drugs were transferred to the Guard Service of the DNCD before being sent to the National Institute of Forensic Science (INACIF).

The suspect, an alleged Haitian aged 29, dentified by the name of David Martínez Gómez, according to his driver's license and his Haitian passport seized during his arrest, is a resident of Lascahobas in the Central Plateau in Haiti. An investigation was launched to identify the accomplices in this case.

Recall that in recent weeks, the DNCD in coordination with the army, stopped on the Dominican roads, many people from Haiti, trying to pass drugs from Haiti.
