Haiti - Sports : Official Launch of the partnership between Canal+ and FHF 09/03/2016 10:42:37
Recall that this partnership signed in early February https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16553-icihaiti-football-the-fhf-sign-with-canal+.html follows the tender launched in October 2015 won by the sole bidder Canal+, which got the exclusive acquisition of broadcasting rights for a period of 5 years. The FHF remains discreet on the financial impact of this tender. The Minister Albert said he was pleased to be associated with this great event. "The FHF needed this big window that Canal+ brings it. It will be an opportunity for local players to become better known on the national level and later international," he clarified. He, moreover, congratulate the President of the FHF for his constant efforts that could ultimately lead to the conclusion of this agreement. "During the last 5 seasons we struggled to deliver a promotion worthy of this name to the local football. This is a giant step for the players. They will be visible worldwide and could attract the attention of recruiters," declared Dadou stressing that the signing of this TV broadcasting rights contract of the Haitian championship of professional football, is an important milestone in the process of professionalization of the Haitian football. The agreement will come into force on April with limited replay for some matches. The broadcasting will be done during a year on the national territory pending the global retransmission. Furthermore Jean Testemane said the local television must have the approval of Canal+ and of the FHF to rebroadcast the matches after the broadcast on Canal+ and that without permission, they will have to pay broadcast rights.
