Haiti - Football : Names of three young people selected at Digicel Kick Start 2016

Tuesday, April 5, the second day of Digicel Kickstart Clinics 2016, the 30 young people who took part since Monday in the training session to the Park St. Therese of Petion-ville were subjected to high-intensity training sessions led by Football coaches from Manchester City FC, during which each of the young participants did their best to be at the height in order to be selected among the top three.

This year, the trainers of Manchester City FC, performed the entire program, ensuring the development and coherence of the training given to aspiring young footballers. During the two days, they have set up a program to test various aspects of the game of these young people, including their speed, skill, agility and technical ability while teaching them new techniques.

After the second and final day the names of the three winning players were unveiled, they are Fritz Paul (14), Leedger Lajeunesse (15) and Mackendy Richème (16). The three were selected to participate in the Digicel Academy for a week.

The Marketing Director of Digicel Haiti, Nicholas Menos declared "I thank all the young people who took part in the two days of intensive training [...] These three young people selected will leave the country to go to Digicel Academy, for an intensive one-week training course under the direction of Manchester City FC trainers. Others will return meanwhile to their original clubs to apply the new techniques learned during these workouts."

At the Academy, the three most talented young players from each participating countries (Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, El Salvador, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Suriname, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago and the Turks and Caicos Islands,) will go to the Digicel Academy where they will be tested by the best of the best football coaches.
