Mathieu Gallet, the CEO of Radio France, Isabelle Madsen Chaffanjon, President of endowment fund Philippe Chaffanjon and Jacques Expert, Jury President, handed at the Maison de la Radio (Paris, France) the Prix Philippe Chaffanjon 2016 of multimedia report to the laureates, french and haitian.

For this third edition, fifty French and Haitian applications were received, combining originality, interactive and writing skills. After deliberation, Jacques Expert announced that the jury had decided to reward :

"Dans le téléphone d’une migrante syrienne" : a French documentary directed by Lucie Soullier and translated by Madjid Zerrouky, published on the website of Le Monde in December 2015.

"Adoption en Haïti – Cri de désespoir" : a Haitian reportage directed by Michel Joseph and published on the site Radio Television Caraïbes in December 2015. This report combines photos, videos, text and sound has been able to highlight "A difficult quest, often impossible and moving, in the jungle of adoptions."

Haiti is among the top ten donor countries in international adoption. The deterioration of living conditions carries thousands of parents to surrender their children for adoption in order to guarantee a better tomorrow. These children often express the wish to reconnect with their pastby trying, often unsuccessfully, to find their parents. Through meetings with the various actors in this search for identity, this report combining videos, photos and writing shows the struggle of these children to find their roots.
