Haiti - NOTICE : The Chamber of Commerce of Southeast, excluded from CCIH
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti (CCIH) advises especially the business sector and the public in general, that "the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Southeast (CCISE) as now constituted, is definitively excluded, with its current Board as Member of the CCIH and strictly forbidden to use the name of CCI, in paper letterhead, email account, electronic boxes, communications of all nature, publicity material etc...
The CCIH had to take this final sanction, following the behavior of the Board of the said Chamber unacceptable because contrary to professional ethics and the statutes of CCIH as well as the Law. It took it, after multiple approaches and rehabilitation undertaken by itself for years with the CCISE, who refused them or ignored.
The CCIH reserves the right to create a new CCI Southeast, fully respecting its statutes and customs, as do the other nine Departmental CCI of Haiti.
The CCIH, until the formal implementation of a new CCISE advises that any institution in the Southeast, which would use the name, logo or other identifiable symbol or image to the CCIH or suggesting an affiliation with the latter would do it in complete illegality and was exposing then at serious legal consequence.
The CCIH request to the public especially residents of the Southeast department, to take note of this notice to not be victim of any confusion or bad intention."
