Haiti - Politic : 5th Forum of Coordinators of UEP
Aviol Fleurant, the Minister of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE), launched Thursday, April 14 at the Marriott Hotel, the 5th Forum of Coordinators of Units of Studies and Programming (UEP) of the various ministries under the authority of the Committee of Support for Strengthening of UEP of Ministry.
Note that these forums aimed at strengthening the sectoral programming entities in order to improve the functioning of the National System of Planning and Development Management.
Addressing to the executives of the various ministries involved, the Minister Fleurant recalled the role of the Ministry and its commitment to continue these meetings in order to reconcile the structural and cyclical pairs of development and humanitarian emergency, in order to better plan the long term and achieve results favoring the development of Haiti.
This 5th forum, which follows that of December 2015, has provided participants the opportunity to work on several topics, including the policy framework of the 2017-2019 Three-Year Investment Programme and the terms of reference for the establishment of the sectoral task force within the MPCE.
The Minister gave the assurance that under his leadership, the work of his ministry will be structured around the stability and strengthening of institutions, as desired by the President a.i. and the Prime Minister.
