Haiti - NOTICE : Election of the new Executive Council of UEH
In a note, Rogeda Dorcé Dorcil, the President of the Central Electoral Commission of the UEH (CCE-UEH) informs the university community in particular and the public in general, that "the voting for the appointment of a new UEH Executive Council will be held on the morning of Saturday, April 30, 2016 to Moulin sur Mer" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17059-haiti-politic-elections-to-the-ueh-postponed-indefinitely.html
Note that according to section 50 of the Electoral Charter of the UEH the Election of the Members of the Executive Council takes place at the headquarters of Rectorateon the date and time set in the electoral calendar, however, the illegal occupation of the premises of the Rectorate since 5 February 2016 and the impossibility of organizing elections the CCE-UEH was conducted to make these changes of date and place for the last phase of the electoral process, relying on Article 3 of the Electoral Charter of the UEH which states "The Central Electoral Commission is headquartered to the Rectorate of the University of State of Haiti. It can also sit and exceptional in any other place designated by the Council of the State University of Haiti"; as well as a decision taken March 29, 2016 by the University Council that says "The Council of the State University of Haiti decides to authorize and, as in fact authorizes the Central Election Commission to sit to Moulin sur Mer to pursue and finalize the electoral process leading to election of a new Executive Council."
The CCE-UEH renews its commitment to make every effort for the achievement of vote leading to the election of a new Executive Council and in strict compliance with the Electoral Charter and Transitional Provisions governing UEH.
