The World Bank and the Haitian government have signed yesterday Tuesday an agreement for an amount of $30 million to fund a major project to build houses and infrastructure in the neighborhoods : Carrefour Feuille and Delmas 32.

The agreement was signed by Ronald Baudin, Minister of Economy and Finance, and Alexandre Abrantes, the World Bank representative in Haiti. The Minister hoped that the project will attract other donors and allow the government to meet all the needs of areas affected by the earthquake of January.

For its part, the representative of the World Bank, promised that this project will be implemented in collaboration with beneficiary communities. This project will benefit nearly 5,000 families, will include the installation of social services and basic infrastructure to enable refugees living in camps, returning to their respective communities.

It is the office of monetization of aid programs to the community development that will ensure the implementation of this project.
