Wednesday, 15 days afte itsr installation (mid-term), the Independent Commission for evaluation and verification of election officially launched its work at the Votes

Tabulation Centre (CTV), in the presence of representatives of political parties and organizations, national and foreign of electoral observation.

Ensuring that everything will be done to complete this work by the deadline. In this sampling method, 3,235 PV (25%) were randomly selected in accordance with the size of the electorate of each department out of 12.939 PV available to CTV, (Including those constituting 15% of the sample of the previous Commission) 1,313 PV in the West department, 416 in the Artibonite, 344 in the North, 129 in the Northeast, 164 in the Northwest 265 in the South, 129 in the Grand'Anse, 122 for the Nippes, 137 in the south-east and 216 in the Centre.

Michel Eric Gaillard, member of the Commission recalled that the PV are not the only aspects that will be analyzed, tally sheets, the attendance list, the minutes of deficiency, the incidence minutes, etc... will also be examined and verified carefully, he says, adding that the decision to increase the sample size had been taken to meet the expectations of the population.
