Haiti - Sports : The Minister Nazaire requests assistance from China

Abel Nazaire, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, met this week with Ling Jun, Permanent Representative of the Commercial Office of the Chinese People's Republic in Haiti, to strengthen cooperation for sport.

During the exchange, the Minister Nazaire asked the People's Republic of China a support : for football in general; the reopening of the National School of Sport Talents (ENTS); of the National Institute of Youth and Sports Sciences (INJESS) and the School of Hope, of fundamental training tools, of mentoring and integration of young people according to the Minister.

Abel Nazaire, this cooperation may be extended to exchanges between sports clubs of the two countries and also between athletes from different disciplines. The Minister responded positively to Mr Ling's proposal to make available to the Haitian sports associations appropriate sports equipment.

For his part, Ling Jun, after mentioning the importance of the development of sport for young people and Haiti, said he hoped the two countries will work together to strengthen cooperation in sport.

After a tour of the various structures of the Ministry, the Minister Nazaire proposed that the technical staffs of the two countries focus on developing a framework for cooperation identifying needs and avenues of cooperation in sport and youth.
