Haiti - FLASH : Cicilia Laurent, passed away at age 120 years
Cicilia Laurent, born January 31, 1896, according to her Haitian passport and the copy of birth certificate extract, had celebrated her 120 years at Consulate of Haiti in Montreal last January, with a big cake https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16509-icihaiti-social-a-haitian-woman-celebrates-her-120-years-in-montreal.html .

Note that the Guinness Records denied later that it was doing research in Haiti to find the original birth certificate of Ms. Laurent as affirmed by Ronald Chery his great-grand-son, in order to confirm her status of dean of mankind.

In a note, the Embassy of Haiti in Canada said it learned Monday "the news of the passing of our late compatriot Cicilia Laurent, adulated dean of the Haitian community in Canada. She died in Montreal at the venerable age of 120, surrounded by the affection of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

She leaves us at the end of a busy life, offering an example around her, of a life dedicated to the welfare and happiness of her close.

The staff of the Embassy of Haiti in Canada bows respectfully before her remains and asks the family and relatives of this majestic figure disappeared, to receive the expression of its sincere condolences."
