As part of the preparatory activities of the Sports Festival of the border to be held from 21 to 24 July in the Dominican town of Jimaní, a Dominican-Haitian sports meeting will be held this Saturday, May 28 between the delegations of Jimaní in the Dominican Republic and the city of Gantier in Haiti.

The meeting will be held at the Lycée de l'amitié of Ganthier, from 9:00 am, with handball competitions, male and female basketball and Taekwondo.

Abel Nazaire, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action and his Dominican counterpart Jaime David Fernández Mirabal, will attend this sporting event to reaffirm through their presence, their desire to maintain a healthy ongoing collaboration in sports.

Cuban technicians of the highest level in basketball, handball, taekwondo and boxing will be in Jimaní on Saturday to strengthen technical capacity in a gesture of solidarity with the Haitian athletes of Ganthier and Fond-Parisien.
