Haiti - Education : D-1, State exams 220,106 candidates

Exams for the 9th fundamental year for the academic year 2015-2016 will begin in the ten departments, tomorrow Monday, June 13 and ends Wednesday, June 15. 220,106 candidates are expected to undergone the exams or an increase in the number of candidates greater than 7% compared to the academic year 2014-2015.

The costs of these examinations according to the Ministry of National Education, are estimated at nearly half a billion gourdes.

Distribution of candidates by department :

West :104 696 candidates (47,57%)

Artibonite : 26,856 candidates (2,20%)

North : 23,398 candidates (10,63%)

Centre : 12,895 candidates (5,8%)

North West : 11,789 candidates (5,36%)

South : 10,983 candidates (4,99%)

Northeast : 8,906 candidates (4,05%)

South East : 8,349 candidates (3,79%)

Grand-Anse : 6,345 candidates (2,88%)

Nippes : 5.889 candidates (2,68%)
