Witnesses will observe those observing

Léopold Berlanger, President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) informed "We have taken another provision, which consists of introducing witnesses in the electoral process [...]" These witnesses will be deployed in groups of 3 at all offices election in Haiti, with the aim of ensuring greater vigilance in the elections in addition to journalists, national and international observers, representatives and supervisors. This new measure will be applied, together with civil society and political parties.

D-1 : The Democratic Entente rallies against Privert

Given the overtly sectarian and arrogant posture of President a.i. Jocelerme Privert and his inability to ensure national cohesion, to reassure the protagonists and to guarantee public order, the Democratic Entente (ED) (group composed of: KID, PHTK, National Consortium of Political Parties Haitians, Repons Peyizan, Platfòm Viktwa, National Bloc Right Centre, MONHA) invites the general population and all the living forces of the nation in particular, to join it in the mobilization against authoritarian and autocratic excesses of the Provisional President and asked the politicians, state institutions and all organized bodies to join in concerted efforts for a consensual solution to fill the presidential vacancy with effect from 14 June 2016 as stated in the agreement of 6 February https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-16533-haiti-politic-the-details-of-the-agreement-from-a-to-z.html , by ensuring that the new authorities will create conditions conducive to the continuation of the electoral process initiated in 2015 to provide the country as quickly as of legitimate elected, elected by universal suffrage.

Communal Fund, the mayors hope

Friday, Antoine Rodon Bien-Aime, President of the Commission "Economy and Finance" of the lower house, met a group of elected mayors of several communes around the allocation of municipal funds in the draft amending budget.
