Haiti - NOTICE : Registration open for the renewal of the third of Senate

Registration of Political Parties and Groups for the renewal of the third of Senate

The Executive Directorate of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), reminds the political parties and groups that, under the Electoral Calendar https://www.haitilibre.com/docs/calendrier-CEP-2016-2017.pdf the period from 15 June to 6 July 2016 is devoted to their registration. This formality will allow them to participate in the elections of October 9, 2016 (1st round) and January 8, 2017 (second round) for the renewal of the third of Senate.

Consequently it is requested political parties and groups wishing to participate in the next elections to be registered within the time limit, every day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the headquarters of the CEP, 72, Stephen Archer Street in Petion-ville.

The CEP encourages interested political entities to consult Article 103 of the Electoral Decree of 2 March 2015, in order to ensure good preparation of their applications to deposit at the time of registration.

"Article 103 :

To be registered, political parties and groups must submit to the Provisional Electoral Council, against receipt, an authenticated copy of the following:

a) The notarial deed of party or political group, its statutes and its objectives;

b) The act of recognition of the political party;

c) The act of recognition of each of the parties forming the grouping of political parties;

d) The list of parties and organizations signatories to the agreement of the political group;

e) The document stating the agreement for the use of a single emblem for political group;

f) A copy of the emblem (electronic file)"
