Haiti - Elections : 4 candidates pay allegiance to Jude Célestin, which confirms his candidacy

Tuesday, Jude Célestin, the candidate for president of the "League for Alternative Progress of Haiti" (LAPEH) has officially confirmed his participation in the presidential elections, whose first round is expected, according to the electoral timetable, October 9.

4 ex-presidential candidates and former members of the G8 have pledged allegiance to Jude Célestin and decided to fully support his candidacy they are :

Eric Jean Baptiste "Socialist Action Movement" (MAS) arrived 5th, 56.671 votes, 3.63% of the electorate;

Mario Andresol Independent candidate, arrived 15th, 7,251 votes, 0.46% of the electorate;

Steven Irvenson Benoit"Konviksyon" arrived 8th, 17.851 votes, 1.14% of the electorate;

Sauveur Pierre Etienne "Organization of People in Struggle" (OPL) arrived 7th, 30.227 votes, 1.94% of the electorate.

Steven Benoit, Eric Jean-Baptiste and Sauveur Pierre Etienne, were present alongside Jude Célestin upon confirmation of his candidacy.

According Sauveur Pierre Etienne, negotiations are ongoing and other former candidates could join soon to Jude Célestin, to broaden the consensus around his candidacy.
