Haiti - FLASH : Session in National Assembly Tuesday 28

After the session in National Assembly last Tuesday was postponed "sine die" due to violence https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17804-haiti-flash-national-assembly-postponed-sine-die-due-to-violence.html the office of the National Assembly has adopted the date of Tuesday, June 28 for the holding of this session, a note was signed to this effect by Cholzer Chancy, President of the Chamber of Deputies, and by Ronald Larèche, Vice President of Senate.

Abel Descollines, the first secretary of the office of the Chamber of Deputies said that arrangements have already taken at the Office of the National Assembly for the holding of this session.

During this session in National Assembly deputies and senators must decide the fate of Jocelerme Privert, which according to item 7 of the Agreement of 6 February https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-16533-haiti-politic-the-details-of-the-agreement-from-a-to-z.html completed his term on June 14 after 120 days.

Abel Descollines, on behalf of the National Assembly requested the high command of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) to take the necessary steps to ensure the security of parliamentarians next Tuesday, so that the acts of Tuesday, June 14 are not repeated.

Pending the holding of this session, negotiations, discussion continues, meetings are multiplying, among and between different groups within the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the Republic to agree on whether the mandate of Jocerlme Privert should be extended or not.
