Haiti - Politic : Michaëlle Jean remains concerned about the situation in Haiti
In a note dated Tuesday, June 28, Michaëlle Jean, the Secretary General of the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) expressed her concern about the context in which is continuing the electoral process in Haiti.

"I would like once again to underline the necessity to maintain a peaceful political climate in order to lead to completion the electoral process, essential to the stability of the country," https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17732-haiti-politic-michaelle-jean-calls-for-dialogue-and-restraint.html declared the Secretary General.

"In this regard, I condemn all acts of violence that have been recorded in recent days and I appeal to the sense of responsibility of all the Haitians," she added.

The Secretary General urges all political actors to make every effort to promote dialogue and the best interests of the Haitian people and stresses that any initiative which might be taken in this context must work towards the completion of the electoral process in the greatest serenity.

Ms. Jean recalls that the OIF continues to support the electoral process in Haiti.
