Haiti - Politic : The Mayor of Delmas continues to make waves
The return of Mayor of Delmas Wilson Jeudy at the head of the first commune of country, continues to make waves after his recent accusations against Yannick Mézile, the acting agent, to have mismanaged during his absence, the funds of the municipality . Recall that the Mayor Jeudy claimed that there were more than 4 million gourdes in the coffers, claiming to have left 59 million to his departure. A charge denied by Yannick Mézile who recalled that at his departure, Wilson Jeudy had also left 47 million unpaid debts...

On his momentum, the Mayor Jeudy has now decided to lay off 1,075 city employees, because of the finances of the Town Hall...

A decision that made strongly react Jean-Denne Charles, the Spokesperson of the workers' union of the municipality of Delmas, requesting the reinstatement of employees, according to him victims of an arbitrary decision. Furthermore, he invites the Unit for Combating Corruption (ULCC) and the Superior Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes (CSA/CA), to investigate the management of the Mayor Jeudy when liquidating the affairs of the municipality, specifically in May and June 2015... while the municipality accumulated 47 million in debt.
