Haiti - Elections : Privert held talks with the CEP, the ONI and the PNH

Tuesday at the National Palace, the de facto President Jocelerme Privert, accompanied by François Anick Joseph, Minister of Interior and Territorial Communities, Yves Romain Bastien, Minister of Economy and Finance and Camille Édouard Junior, Minister of Justice and Public Security met with : the members of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), Wilson Fièvre he Director General of the National Identification Office (ONI) and a delegation from the National Police of Haiti (PNH).

Discussions focused on measures to be taken to respect the deadline of October 9, vote necessary to restore constitutional order. While the exchanges were already very advanced, a delegation of the National Police of Haiti, led by Michel-Ange Gédéon, the Director General a.i. of the PNH joined the discussions. It was mostly question of the security aspect of the elections.

This meeting, that lasted more than two hours allowed stakeholders to exchange important information about the electoral process for the success of the electoral process.
