Abel Descollines launches an appeal

Abel Descollines appeals to all political blocs to meet in assembly to fix their position relative to the evolution of the political situation, particularly with regard to the presidential decree convoking the people in their elections.

An irregular decision

The MOPOD, through its coordinator Jean André Victor, describes as irregular the decision of the Head of State to convene the people in elections given the end of his mandate since 14 June 2016. It calls for a political dialogue between stakeholders for a solution to the crisis.

Meeting between the Consul of Haiti in NYC and the community

Last week, the new Consul General of the Republic of Haiti in New York, Me. Peter Helder Bernard, held its 3rd meeting with the Haitian community, and its 6th official release since taking office on 20 June 2016. This meeting was held in "Bridge Multicultural Center" in Brooklyn. More than a hundred people, including politicians of the city of New York, were present. The Consul General has renewed his willingness to work with the community."

Intervention of Jean Tholbert Alexis

The Minister Counsellor Mr. Jean Alexis Tholbert of the Consulate General of Haiti in Higuey (Dominican Republic) met with officals of the airline LAW (Latin American Wrings) Mr. Hector Gacituá and Mrs. Núría Villaret about our fellow Haitians who were leaving for Chilli and have been detained by the Dominican immigration. Following the intervention of the Minister Counsellor, they were able to travel with confidence and arrived safely !
