On the night of Monday 25 to Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at around 1 a.m., has occurred serious accident at Bridge Caïman of Petit-Goâve.

The accident occurred when a vehicle from Jérémie carrying passengers has jumped on a roadblock that had been put in place on the Bridge Caïman, and continued its route downwards...

According to a provisional toll provided by the police, there were 33 wounded and 2 dead. Police rushed the victims to the Grand-Goâve hospital. "This accident is of criminal origin," according to the police commissioner, Jacques Ader.
